AIT Austrian Institute of Technology
AIT (Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH) is an Austrian research institute with a European format and focuses on the key infrastructure issues of the future. As the largest non-university research facility in Austria, AIT has a long history and outstanding track record on participating and leading EU and national research projects. An important part of the research of the IT Security within the Digital Safety & Security Department is concentrated on secure system design for safety and security-critical information systems
Main Tasks
AIT coordinates the project and contributes with its expertise in Smart Grid security, control, and modelling. AIT is work-package leader for WP3 and has contributions to all other work-packages, focusing on the development of approaches for grid island mode of operation, ICT infrastructure and grid modelling, preventive security and resilience mechanisms, and quantitative risk and security assessment.
